We are a performing Barbershop a cappella chorus located in the Bellaire area of Houston, Texas. We are hosting a Guest Night to help teach some new songs to those interested in singing. While guests are welcome at every Monday rehearsal, the Houston Tidelanders have a special Guest night planned for June 3rd, 2024!
If you’re currently singing or have sung in the past, we’re extending a special invitation. Take this opportunity to learn a new song as well as some Polecats. What are those, you ask? They’re short parts from the end of songs also known as “tags”.
First, you’ll get to hear how you sound singing with other men. Next, we’ll help you with your pitch, some nuances about barbershop music, and more. Lastly, you will get to interact with the other guests as well as mingle and get to know our Members. Snacks will be provided.

The Tidelanders are an all-male chorus that performs show tunes, hits, love songs, and Christmas favorites.
We have sung patriotic songs to open up at several of the Heroes At Home Golf Tournaments supporting the Green Beret Foundation and the U.S. Army Special Forces families. We opened up the 6th year of this event on October 16th, 2023.
We produce and perform in annual Christmas shows. For 2023, we hosted two Christmas shows that were open to the public: Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on December 2 and Windwood Presbyterian Church on December 16.
We participated in the Needville H.S. Choir Performance on December 11. This annual event is open to residents in the Needville area.
We have won our District Championship 19 times and placed in the top 10 in International Competition 9 times. We are proud to carry the Houston name across the Barbershop Harmony Society.
We perform a variety of our full repertoire that includes show tunes, patriotic, recent hits, love songs, and more. Our evening shows include food and drinks!
We performed a Clear Lake GTS on April 13, 2024, with both a Saturday Matinee and a Saturday evening show. Join us again in 2025!
We support the musical arts in the Houston area. In 2023, we participated in three events: Dulles H.S. on November 7, Ridge Point H.S. on November 8, and Stephen F. Austin H.S. on November 16.
We present an annual High School Barbershop (a cappella) Quartet Tag Contest. In 2024 that contest was open to the 9 counties of the Houston area.
