The Houston Tidelanders are excited to be performing six new songs this season! If you haven’t been to a show in a while, you’re in for a treat! Director Patrick McAlexander, the Music Team, and the Tidelanders have been working hard to bring you high-quality barbershop music. Six new songs are being performed.
Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Fort Bend Family Promise and the families they support. If you aren’t familiar with Family Promise, it’s a fantastic and necessary organization. They help families at risk of experiencing homelessness and provide safe temporary shelter, meals, and job counseling. Depending on the situation, Family Promise can assist families in finding affordable homes.
Fort Bend Family Promise’s mission is “to meet the immediate needs of homeless Fort Bend Families while empowering them to attain self-sufficiency”. Hear us sing and support their important mission.
Please note that the seating is not our traditional “Good Time Show” seating format. This show (like last year) is in church pew seating.
This performance is on Saturday afternoon 29th of June, 2024 at First United Methodist Church of Missouri City.
The Tidelanders take the stage at 2:00 pm; doors open at 1:30 pm.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the concert.
The Tidelanders are an all-male chorus that performs show tunes, hits, love songs, and Christmas favorites.
We have sung patriotic songs to open up at several of the Heroes At Home Golf Tournaments supporting the Green Beret Foundation and the U.S. Army Special Forces families. We opened up the 6th year of this event on October 16th, 2023.
We produce and perform in annual Christmas shows. For 2023, we hosted two Christmas shows that were open to the public: Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on December 2 and Windwood Presbyterian Church on December 16.
We participated in the Needville H.S. Choir Performance on December 11. This annual event is open to residents in the Needville area.
We have won our District Championship 19 times and placed in the top 10 in International Competition 9 times. We are proud to carry the Houston name across the Barbershop Harmony Society.
We perform a variety of our full repertoire that includes show tunes, patriotic, recent hits, love songs, and more. Our evening shows include food and drinks!
We performed a Clear Lake GTS on April 13, 2024, with both a Saturday Matinee and a Saturday evening show. Join us again in 2025!
We support the musical arts in the Houston area. In 2023, we participated in three events: Dulles H.S. on November 7, Ridge Point H.S. on November 8, and Stephen F. Austin H.S. on November 16.
We present an annual High School Barbershop (a cappella) Quartet Tag Contest. In 2024 that contest was open to the 9 counties of the Houston area.
