Fort Bend Family Promise
We've performed several benefit concerts to help support Fort Bend Family Promise's mission to meet the immediate needs of homeless or near-homeless families. Family Promise empowers families to learn life skills necessary to attain and maintain their self-sufficiency.
Our performances have been full shows of our entire a cappella song repertoire and have included our Tidelanders performing Quartets.
Fort Bend ISD Men's Music Festival
We participated in the Fort Bend ISD's Men's Fest in 2021. The mission was to encourage and support the boy singers. The music program created the Men's Festival to support their mission of inspiring boys to learn how to sing and continue singing into adulthood. The Tidelanders were there to lend our voices to demonstrate that older men can continue to sing in harmony.
The festival was held over three different nights in locations across the Fort Bend Independent School District. Each program included classical and modern selections sung by the students. The Tidelanders singers sang a couple of songs and then the festival ended with a “Tribute to the Armed Services” sung by the students with the Houston Tidelanders and accompanied by a piano to honor those who have served in the US Armed Forces.
Heroes at Home Golf Tournament
We have participated for several years in the Heroes at Home Golf Tournament. The tournament is for the benefit of the Green Beret Foundation which helps support Green Beret veterans recover from active duty service with the US Army.
The Tidelanders performed several patriotic songs including the National Anthem when the flag was brought in by a parachute team.
