Please note: this event is our Heroes at Home opening ceremony performance. It is not open to the public unless you join a Golf Team. If you are a veteran or person interested in supporting the Green Beret Foundation, you can make a donation here. If you live in the area, you’re welcome to watch the opening ceremony.
The Houston Tidelanders will be performing at the 5th annual Heroes at Home Charity Golf Tournament opening ceremony. We will be singing various patriotic songs followed by the National Anthem as skydivers bring in a gigantic American flag!
This charity event is hosted and funded by The McKee Family Foundation. The golf tournament will be played on the Tournament Players Course at The Woodlands Country Club. All of the net proceeds from the tournament directly benefit the Green Beret Foundation. Their mission is to connect U. S. Army Special Forces and their families with the resources needed for healing from injury, family support, and transition to life after service.
Come and join a Golf team and help raise money for American Heroes and support The Green Beret Foundation! See Tournament Information.
The Tidelanders are an all male chorus that performs show tunes, hits, love songs, and Christmas favorites.
We have sung patriotic songs to open up at several of the Heroes At Home Golf Tournaments supporting the Green Beret Foundation and the U.S. Army Special Forces families. We opened up the 6th year of this event on October 17th, 2022.
We produce and perform in annual Christmas shows. For 2023, we have two Christmas shows scheduled to be open to the public: Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on December 2 and Windwood Presbyterian Church on December 16. We will participate in the Needville H.S. Choir Performance on December 11. This event is open to residents in the Needville area.
We have won our District Championship 19 times and placed in the top 10 in International Competition 9 times. We are proud to carry the Houston name across the Barbershop Harmony Society.
We perform a variety of our full repertoire that includes show tunes, patriotic, recent hits, love songs, and more. Our evening shows include food and drinks! We are planning a Clear Lake GTS for April 13, 2024, with a Saturday Matinee and a Saturday evening show.
We support the musical arts in the Houston area. In 2023, we are scheduled to participate in three events: Dulles H.S. on November 7, Ridge Point H.S. on November 8, and Stephen F. Austin H.S. on November 16. We present an annual High School Barbershop (a cappella) Quartet Tag Contest. In 2024 that contest is open to the 9 counties of the Houston area.
This February, don’t forget to play cupid yourself and hire the Tidelanders to sing love songs to your loved one for you.
