St. Paul the Apostle presents The Houston Tidelanders and our Good Time Show. Last year’s show was such a success that we’re coming back to St. Paul the Apostle for a second year of performances.
Our chorus sings four-part close barbershop harmonies. We sing our music unaccompanied or “a cappella”. That means that we don’t use sound engineering to alter what you hear. That’s actually us singing! There’s no pitch correction going on here.
We work hard to sing well – musicality, emotion, and a great sound are all hallmarks of the Tidelanders sound. You’ll hear overtones and ringing chords when we perform our repertoire. Speaking of which, we perform a variety of songs including patriotic, barbershop originals, show tunes, standards, and recent hits.
Our evening show is unique in that we serve fresh tamales and beer. Your servers are the Houston Tidelanders performers – not hired help.
The Good Time Show features tables for group seating instead of stadium-style. The seating is suitable for sharing our musical experience with your friends and family.
This performance is Saturday afternoon April 26, 2025. The doors will open at 6:00 pm and the Tidelanders will take the stage at 6:30.

The Tidelanders are a chorus that performs show tunes, hits, love songs, and Christmas favorites
We have sung patriotic songs to open up the last few Heroes At Home Golf Tournament supporting the Green Beret Foundation and the U.S. Army Special Forces families. We opened up the 6th year of this event on October 21, 2024.
For several years we have presented a concert for the benefit of Fort Bend Family Promise. Tickets for our will be available for purchase soon.
We perform a variety of our full repertoire that includes show tunes, patriotic, recent hits, love songs, and more. Our afternoon shows include popcorn and sodas and our evening shows include chips and salsa, tamales, sodas, and beer!
We produce and perform in annual Christmas shows. For 2024, we had two Christmas shows open to the public. One was in Southwest Houston and the other in Northwest Houston.
We performed and sang with the Needville H.S. Choir on December 16th, 2024.
We have won our District Championship 19 times and placed in the top 10 in International Competition 9 times.
The Tidelanders support music programs throughout the Greater Houston Area. In 2024, we supported the young men of FBISD at two events: Fort Bend ISD Men’s Festival: Crockett Middle School, and Fort Bend ISD Men’s Festival: Austin High School.
We also sponsor a High School A Cappella Tag Singing Contest.
