The Houston Tidelanders have been ringing the Christmas sleigh bells for decades. A Tidelanders Christmas experience is the perfect way to fill your day with holiday cheer. We sometimes incorporate skits into our Christmas shows.
Christmas Event ideas in Houston
The Houston Tidelanders sing an almost equal mix of religious and secular holiday songs for your entertainment. We routinely feature our well-established and popular Quartets and The Tide Pool at our shows. Think you know what an a cappella or barbershop performance is like? You might just be pleasantly surprised! We bring high quality, family friendly entertainment to the stage. We have patrons that bring multiple generations to our shows.
I thought "barbershop" would be like what I'd imagined in my head. I wasn't sure that I would enjoy the experience but it was very modern and different from what I expected. There were no straw hats or garter armbands and the guys sounded amazing.
Things to do in Houston for $60 or under
Speaking of pleasantly surprised, you’ll be happy to learn that tickets to our shows are very affordable. We typically charge anywhere from $20-30 depending on what’s included in the performance. When we put on our annual Good Time Show, we typically provide a matinee with popcorn and drinks as well as an evening show that includes fresh tamales and beer.
Our Christmas shows sometimes include comedy skits written, produced, and performed by the Tidelanders.
Each Valentines Day, our Quartets do either recorded Video Valentines or Live In-Person Valentines.

The Houston Tidelanders proudly present our 2022 Southwestern District Spring Chorus Contest performance for your consideration. We performed two love songs “At Last” and “Mona Lisa”, and a spiritual song “Swing Down”. These songs were and are part of our 2022 repertoire.
