About Us
The Tidelanders are an all male chorus that performs show tunes, hits, love songs, and Christmas favorites.
Community Fund Raisers
We have sung patriotic songs to open up at several of the Heroes At Home Golf Tournaments supporting the Green Beret Foundation and the U.S. Army Special Forces families. In 2025, we will opened up for this very important fund raise for the 7th year in a row. From time to time, we perform for the benefit of other organizations like Fort Bend Family Promise.
Christmas Shows
We participate in a variety of holiday oriented events. Some of these are for-benefit performances that either not open to the general public or just available for specific community members. We do perform in our own locally produced Christmas shows that are open to the public.
For 2025, we will host two Christmas shows that are open to anyone:
- Windwood Presbyterian Church in Northwest Houston on December 13
- Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on December 21
District Competitions
We have won our District’s Championship contest a total of 19 times over the years. We’ve also placed in the top 10 in International Competition 9 times in our chapter’s history. We are proud to carry the Houston name across the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Good Times Shows
We perform a variety of our full repertoire that includes show tunes, patriotic, recent hits, love songs, and more. Our evening shows include food and drinks! We will perform a Clear Lake GTS in 2026 with both a Saturday Matinee and a Saturday evening show. These shows typically feature our full chorus, quartets, and the occasion song arranged by one of our talents Tidelanders.
Next Generation
We support the musical arts in the Houston area. In 2025, we participated in a “sing-out” at Crockett Middle School in Richmond on September 12th. We present an annual Barbershop Quartet Tag Contest. In 2026 that contest will be open for grades 6-12 and College students 25 years old and younger in the Houston area.
Singing Valentines
This February 2026, don’t forget to play cupid yourself. Hire the Tidelanders to sing love songs for your loved one from you.
