National Barbershop Quartet Harmony Day (2024)

April 11 is Barbershop Quartet Day!

Come see Houston area barbershop quartets at our annual National Barbershop Quartet Harmony Day Celebration. We are featuring different choruses and quartets. It will be a great opportunity to sample Barbershop.

Meet men and women who love to sing close harmony. If you like to sing, stick around afterward – there will surely be people teaching and singing “tags”, and we’d be happy to pull you in.

Ways to Celebrate

If you can’t join us, how can you celebrate? You can start by listening to your Houston Tidelanders perform “All The Way” (there are 20 songs on this compilation). Or listen to this Pandora list with a selection of our Christmas music.

About Us

The Tidelanders are an all male chorus that perform show tunes, hits, love songs, and Christmas favorites.

Community Fund Raisers

We have opened up the last few Heroes At Home Golf Tournaments.

Christmas Shows

December 2021 we hosted two shows that were open to the public at JWUMC and St. Matthew’s.

District Competitions

We have won our District Championship 19 times and placed in the top 10 in International Competition 9 times.

Good Times Shows

We perform selected show tunes, patriotic, recent hits, love songs, and more at our GTS performances. Evening shows include food and drinks! Join us in 2022 at our Saturday Matinee or Saturday Evening shows.  

Next Generation Barbershop

We support the musical arts, especially where singing is concerned. In 2021, we participated in the Fort Bend ISD Men’s Festival.
