Looking for some extremely clean family friendly entertainment? Are you looking for something to do that’s less common than binge watching a new show on your favorite streaming service?
The Houston Tidelanders offer multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. We typically offer several performances of our Good Time Show in different parts of the Houston area usually in the April – June timeframe. We also “sleigh” it every December with a selection of holiday and secular music that we perform for our Christmas shows.
Event ideas in Houston
The Houston Tidelanders offer about 1.5-2 hours of musical entertainment depending on the time of year. Not only does our large 30+ man chorus perform, but we offer a “Very Large Quartet” called the Tide Pool which is a smaller subset of dedicated singers that want to perform music that the chorus is not performing in the current repertoire. We routinely feature our well-established and popular Quartets at our shows. Think you know what a cappella or barbershop performances are like? You might just be pleasantly surprised.
I've been following and attending shows for the last 25 years. I always leave a show reliving hearing my Dad, brother, and friends harmonizing together at family get togethers. It's always a pleasure listening to people who are really good and enjoy singing. It's music that never grows old!
Things to do in Houston for $60 or less
Speaking of pleasantly surprised, you’ll be happy to learn that tickets to our shows are very affordable. We typically charge anywhere from $20-30 depending on what’s included in the performance. When we put on our annual Good Time Show, we typically provide a matinee with popcorn and drinks as well as an evening show that includes fresh tamales and beer.
Our Christmas shows sometimes include comedy skits written, produced, and performed by the Tidelanders.
Each Valentines Day, our Quartets do either recorded Video Valentines or Live In-Person Valentines.

The Houston Tidelanders proudly present our 2022 Southwestern District Spring Chorus Contest performance for your consideration. We performed two love songs “At Last” and “Mona Lisa”, and a spiritual song “Swing Down”. These songs were and are part of our 2022 repertoire.
