The Houston Tidelanders are excited to host our first High School a Cappella Quartet Tag Contest.
We’re encouraging all High School aged kids in music and/or choir programs to gather three of their friends together and form a Quartet and participate in our Contest.

Once you’ve selected your Quartet members, check the rules so that you understand them and our expectations. Record a barbershop tag and upload it to YouTube as an unlisted video. Submit your completed tag on our website using the submission form on our Tag Contest page by April 1st.
The tags will be judged by a panel of Tidelanders led by our Director, Dr. Ben May. Winners in each category will be announced on April 15, 2022.
All four members of the quartet from each category will be eligible to win $50 for themselves and $200 for your school’s music program!

Please note that this is a virtual event but the winners may be invited to perform at a Tidelanders show.
The Tidelanders are an all male chorus that perform show tunes, hits, love songs, and Christmas favorites.
We have opened up the last few Heroes At Home Golf Tournaments.
December 2021 we hosted two events open to the public at JWUMC and St. Matthew’s.
We have won our District Championship 19 times and placed in the top 10 in International Competition 9 times.
We perform selected show tunes, patriotic, recent hits, love songs, and more at our GTS performances. Evening shows include food and drinks! Join us in 2022 at our Saturday Matinee or Saturday Evening shows.
We support the musical arts, especially where singing is concerned. In 2021, we participated in the Fort Bend ISD Men’s Festival.
Next February don’t forget to play cupid yourself and hire the Tidelanders to sing love songs to your loved one for you.
